With my love for all things food and specialty kitchen items I am always on the look look out for new products. I am excited to share with you monthly list of curated small batch, artisan and unique products. Although it is always fun to shop the markets, we don’t always have time to travel the world to find all the specialty items that we would want in our own kitchen. I hope you love the products I find and come back each month for more!

I have always loved celebrating Mother’s Day and pampering my mom with gifts but since becoming a of mommy, I realize it is so much more than the that. Sharing this day with my mom, my sister and all the other mom’s in our family allows me to take in how blessed we are to have each other and have the privilege to raise our mini’s! Trust me, not everyday is sunshiny, but I would not trade it for the world! So, instead of focusing on any big extravagant gifts, make this day about each other and find something unique to share with one another. Here are some of my favorites that I am loving right now and your mom might too!
What would life be without pie? …I can’t even think about it. Now that we are deep into fall and pumpkin, apples and all the spices are in the air, it is time to start thinking about holiday baking and all the essentials you will need! These items are my favorite pie baking tools that allow me to make the perfect pie + a special taste tester (my husbands favorite part). Start your shopping now and keep your holidays calm and your kitchen smelling like fall. These are also great gift items for your favorite baker in the family!
If you love gray as much as I do, you are going to love these items I found for my kitchen. To me, gray is such a peaceful color so I find it only necessary that my kitchen get a gray makeover. Have a great Wednesday!

I am absolutely loving everything at West Elms these days! The problem is, I really do not need anything else for my house, but who doesn’t need fun kitchen accessories. I know this is kind of a random selection, but as I was walking through the kitchen/market section I just grabbed a couple of things I had to have. Oven mitts is a must, especially when you burn your hands every time you take a pan out of the oven because your mitts are old and I love the neutral stripe that matches my kitchen so perfectly. These two enamel mugs are great for coffee or a fun dessert and who doesn’t love butterscotch. I couldn’t resist buying this, although I wasn’t sure what I was going to use it for, but the name “SPOONABLE, Brooklyn Butterscotch” caught my attention. After bringing it home, trying it and falling in love with the flavor of it, I have decided to make a incredible dessert with this rich butterscotch sauce that will be featured on the blog tomorrow. So for now, go find some fun things to fill your kitchen…it will make your day!

Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my blog Ink Foods (IN NANNYS KITCHEN) where I will take you through a journey of the most incredible desserts, some new, some old and some of my Nanny’s original recipes! One of my favorite cookies that I have grown up baking and eating is Kipfels.
Kipfel’s are a cookie that my family is familiar with because we love to make them and LOVE to eat them. For every holiday we have Kipfel’s on the table so I have decided to make this my first recipe to share with all of you! Kipfels are a melt in your mouth butter cookie that is loaded with pecans and dusted with powdered sugar. A lot of you my be familiar with these cookies, because they are served in many different cultures; Mexican wedding cookies, Russian Tea Cakes and many more, but this recipe is the Italian version! I hope you all enjoy and come back to see where this new journey takes me!
